David vs. Giant David

vecteezy

Muscle Giant Walking Animation YT

Channel EYE

banners copy

Ka-Benta: BigBenta.com’s Affiliate Program

Any company whose customers number less than several thousands will always have the challenge of growing that base in order to generate more sales revenues. An e-commerce company like BigBenta.com is not spared from this challenge and that is why we launched our very own and unique referral program called “Ka-Benta”!
Rewards and commission fees due to referral sales is nothing new, but in BigBenta.com’s case, we made it different in terms of both product coverage and target market. Ka-Benta referral program applies in BigBenta Stores, Service Bookings, Prime Real Estate Properties. Proudly, an online referral program for real estate sales is a MARKET FIRST!

BigBenta.com acknowledges the referral prowess of bloggers, site owners, celebrities and etc., hence, their referral fees are higher compared to the community members. Where a Ka-Benta partner can earn 1% commission, a community member makes .5% commission for every successful transaction. So a typical blogger (Ka-Benta partners) or member (Ka-Benta community) can earn a referral fee if any of BigBenta Marketplace items, products, services, and even real estate properties that he/she refers get sold online. Placing these referral ads can be done and supported from any website and social network simply by pasting the url address link. Specified site banner (graphic images) have been provided for easy provisioning and posting (copy and paste).
Because of the sheer number of products and items involved, an administration dashboard is provided to every Ka-Benta member to track and monitor all their commissions from the Ka-Benta program. For more information, an instructional video about Ka-Benta Partners can be found at this link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aLXEL5v-0I). While for Ka-Benta Community the link can be found here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s44g5rPL3vw).

BigBenta Prime: A Much-Awaited Real Estate Platform

BB Prime Launch Fb Event
Last March 29, I was invited by Bigbenta Corporation to be a part of their big event, the launch of BigBenta Prime!  Initially, I was simply in a state of wonder as to what was in store for the participants, as the event was strictly by invitation-only. As one of the bloggers in the event, I simply want to share my reaction and comments about this recent event.

Opening Remarks Led by BigBenta.com COO Sharon Fong
The event was very entertaining and was able to capture our attention. Personally, I think this was one consistent quality that the event was able to offer. From the opening remarks led by COO Sharon Fong (who was also the host), all the way to the awarding of the raffle prizes, the entire event was organized to make sure that the participants stayed attentive. The explanations done were straight to the point and entertaining at the same time, I found it really impressive that BigBenta.com has done the extra mile to explain a new idea/product in a way that was free of technical jargons and unnecessary content.

BigBenta.com CEO, Charlie Fong & Servequest Chairman, Bobby Alvarez
Bigbenta was able to clarify the questions thrown in by the participants. As a testament to the entertaining factor of the event itself, a lot of the bloggers asked questions regarding the program itself. Despite the complexity of some of the questions, founders Charlie and Sharon Fong, as well as Servequest’s Bobby Alvarez were able to answer all the questions that were thrown at them. Although I didn’t really have any questions myself, it impressed me how knowledgeable the BigBenta.com's team actually was.
And so, here is my understanding of BigBenta Prime:
5
BigBenta.com CEO, Charlie Fong
As described by founder Charlie Fong, Bigbenta Prime is the country’s only “provider of extensive information of Philippine properties -online”, and needless to say, this is a very helpful product for almost anyone, especially those who live far away, like OFWs. Considering the terrible traffic situation in a lot of the areas in the Philippines, users of Bigbenta Prime would be able to save on gas and time, by accessing all the necessary information from using their computers and mobile devices. It will give comfort to the buyers that Bigbenta.com only deals with trustworthy and accredited property developers. And for other information published on the online site, such as flood mapping, and 360 view of the location, perspective photos, all information were verified right from the source, i.e. government agencies and the property developers themselves.

In summary, I believe that BigBenta.com will be VERY beneficial to the Filipinos.
7
BigBenta.com's Mr. Charlie & Ms. Sharon Fong together with the bloggers
It is well known that Filipinos are very cautious when buying big-ticket items that require a huge amount of money, such as properties and real estate. This is probably the reason why I believe that BigBenta Prime would be able to revolutionize the way people would be buying properties in the Philippines. Not only would it save expenses and headaches, but it would also be a very transparent and safe way for Filipinos who are intending to buy properties. One issue that many buyers have when purchasing a house, is that their broker would exaggerate the features of the product that they are offering, which causes a lot of customers to be dismayed or angry when they see the final product. BigBenta Prime aims to make sure that buying houses or condos would be 100% hassle-free. As emphasized by the BigBenta.com’s founder, Charlie Fong several times during the event, “Nothing more, nothing less. Would-be buyers will get accurate and complete information from the site that will make them feel at ease about investing their hard-earned money.”

Grassroots Digital Entrepreneurship (Part 2): Neighborhood Fruits & Vegetables Online

for blog
To continue with my article on the emerging Grassroots Digital Entrepreneurship published last week. I am happy that no more than a week after writing it, our online marketplace www.bigbenta.com received several fruits and vegetables inquiries from sellers in a nearby wet market in Paranaque. I personally think that we are penetrating the grassroots level now, which is both surprising and very encouraging. Critics might say that there is nothing new with the online purchase of fruits or vegetables as some countries and other markets are currently doing this. In other markets or countries, YES, I totally agree, but here in the Philippines, this is quite rare. To think that the supplies of the fruits and vegetables are not coming from big grocery stores or supermarket chains, but from your average and humble neighborhood fruits and vegetables stalls found only in wet markets.
marke
Stall in Paranaque Wet Market. The first to adopt grassroots digital entrepreneurship.
We faced new challenges in regard to delivering perishable products. Challenges like ensuring freshness and product availability, proper handling, keeping delivery costs to a minimum, and even coming up with an acceptable payment for merchants. The good thing is that both the merchant and BigBenta.com were able to come to an agreement that addresses all these issues to ensure that the customers are provided with an online alternative to have their fruits and vegetables delivered to their preferred location.

gas & rice
Palengke Items in BigBenta.com sells LPG gas, rice, and fruits. Customers no longer need to visit a wet market for these items but enjoy the convenience of ordering -  ONLINE!

Still, some questions still hang in my head. Is this the start of a trend (grassroots digital entrepreneurship) or just a nice coincidence? From the time I wrote about the rice and cooking gas sellers some two weeks ago, BigBenta.com has been busy entertaining more than a dozen similar sellers across the different areas of Metro Manila. Surprisingly, the first two customers who purchased their cooking gas were from the Middle East who wanted to order the commodity for their family back home. The two husbands ordered and paid for their orders online.

I think I will be able to get my answer in the next couple of months whether the trend is hear to stay or not. One thing is certain, digital entrepreneurship is building its following in the Philippines regardless if the business is macro, small, medium or large in size. The owners of the establishments are themselves the one driving the adoption. Maybe the fish and meat sellers will come online soon and that will definitely seal the concept of having an “Online Palengke” for the convenience of our customers.

Grassroots Digital Entrepreneurship: Neighborhood Rice & Cooking Gas Online

og2njb0
We obviously have seen branded products and high-end items being sold online by large e-commerce providers in almost every part of the world that can support acceptable Internet speed. Here in the Philippines, we suffer from the two outstanding issues that hamper the otherwise explosive growth of e-commerce namely, acceptance of payment from both the buyer and the seller

scale-1_2526562and the
expensive cost of shipping. The thing is, online products can be lower compared to Mall or Store prices only if the delivery or shipping cost is kept to a minimum. By buying a product with a higher price value, translating to a bigger savings but having the weight or volume literally light or preferably less than 2 kilos, is the sweetest spot in e-commerce purchase for any buyer. An obvious example of this would be electronic gadgets, which can give a buyer as much as several thousands of pesos in savings while incurring only less than two hundred pesos in delivery cost.

riceSo what if the product being offered has the opposite characteristics meaning has a rather low price but very, very heavy in weight. This then should not even be considered in e-commerce. So what happens then when several Rice and
happy young woman with boxes
Cooking gas dealers decided to go digital and offer their product online? The catch is the dealer’s price doesn’t have huge savings for the customers, are very heavy such that if delivered by standard courier provider will be more expensive than the cost of the product itself and the customers are used to paying via cash-on-delivery (COD). An interesting discussion and problem solving exercise then comes to play.

Fruit basketTo give some context, these dealers are your ordinary merchants found in various wet markets in Metro Manila. We have encountered such entrepreneur in Pasig, the other in Paranaque and the most recent one was from Las Pinas wet market. All of them wanted to increase their sales and expand their market, but with the current product that they have, geographical presence and reach is quite limited.

To say the least, a customized approach was developed so that our dealers of rice and cooking gas could open their own online store through www.bigbenta.com, get confirmed transaction orders in selected areas, have their products delivered and collect their payment via COD. At the time of writing, I suspect that they could probably be the first online store of rice and cooking gas in the history of the e-commerce in the Philippines. Talk about taking digital entrepreneurship on the grass root level!
